Gotta disagree with putting Delta Airlines on this list.
I fly at least twice a week (1 R/T) and am pushing 2 million miles in a seat.
MY experience with Delta is really quite good.
But I *AM* a premium flyer and for me Delata does a really fine job. I also understand the airline industry and thus might just react a little better to some issues than leisure travelers who don’t know how to work the system.
*AND* the new GOES trusted traveler program (no more intrusive than CLEAR was/is) is a godsend. Ya ZIP thru security with your shoes, jacket and belt on, with little scrutiny and a metal detector scan.
First Class on any of the major airlines is VERY nice. Coach, no so much. If I don’t have the points to fly in First, I’ll take SWA every single time.

Not for me, but it was in 2004 on a flight from Paris to Atlanta.
As the Stew was coming up the aisle from behind, she was serving drinks.
The guy behind asked for a Coke, and was charged one or two bucks.
When she got to me, I said I had never heard of an airline charging for drinks on am international flight, and certainly not for a soft drink.
She barked back at me...”Well, we are just trying to stay in business”. All of the stews looked pretty frumpy, as if they had slept in their uniforms.
Delta use to be a fine airline.
The pilot that flew their first 747 to Europe was a ham radio friend of mine.
It is sad that the US has no airline in the four or five star ratings, and only a few with three star, including Delta.
My last three flights have been on Qatar, a five star airline.
