The content-type of the page returned by the links is application/octet-stream Is he using PHP to generate the pages? Probably needs to be something like text/html

With firefox, I just selected to open the file with firefox.exe

It opened, but said the content was restricted, and I had to watch it on youtube.

I clicked on the youtube link and the vid played.

Check your version of Adobe Flashplayer...a few versions (months) ago would not open any youtube videos...it is a known issue. The most recent version of flash should resolve that.

There are some sites that have an agreement with Microsoft and there pages won’t open with anything except Windows Explorer. Don’t believe me? Too bad, it is true. Some on line schools are set up that way. At one point there were quite a few sites that required explorer to open but not so many today.

I tried to open the video of the S. African mountain biker being rammed by an antelope from that site.
Couldn’t. Using FF on a Mac.

Your friend’s website is coded so poorly it is dangerous for any freeper to click on those links.

It is incredibly simple for that website to end up on blacklists because the failed coding tries to download all webpages to the end user’s hard drive when you click on any sub page.

Please, for the time being, stop posting links on FR, and tell your friend to get some competent assistance to get his/her website up and running properly.

regards,
