I keep reading this threads about Sarah and I am astounded as to how many freepers STILL think she is going to run, that all of the nominees will be destroyed and that she will end up to be president.
It's dishearting to see the same kind of worship on our side as the left has with Obama. Sadly, there is a Sarah Derangement Syndrome alive and well thriving in our camp too.
Good grief, it’s the PDS-ers that are far more ridiculous. They remind me of one time I ventured over to the DUmmie boards a few weeks after the election of 2008, and under a Palin thread, there were idiot posters who were totally perplexed and full of anger, making statements like “WHY IS THIS WOMAN STILL HERE?” It was like it was a total affront to them that her name still circulated in news articles and postings, in this new glorious age of Obama. She was ‘supposed’ to just disappear, and become some forgotten ‘trivial pursuit’ jokeline.
As for the PDS-ers around here, I basically believe they hate Palin because they are either innately misogynist or anti-Christian atheists.
...and meanwhile, we’re graced with daily serenades of “Praise Rick, From Whom All Blessings Flow”. Spare me. Look. Right now I’m inclined to vote for Cain. How I actually will vote is entirely dependent on how he and the other candidates do between now and the California primary. If I’m still happy with Cain by then, I’ll vote for him. If one of these other folks makes a better run, I’ll vote for him or her. (Yes, Perry Fan, even Rick. I don’t hate the guy. I’m just not anywhere near sold on him as yet. You, on the other hand, are really starting to irritate me. Stop.) If Cain goes bad and I’m not satisfied with the rest of the field, I will write in a candidate. I think you can probably guess who that will be. Don’t like that prospect? Neither do I. Let’s see if we can avoid it by getting these people to do better, mmkay?
If you want to see the same kind of hero worship from our side that Obama gets from his side, I would suggest you look at Cain threads.
There was one who was distressed beyond belief that Sarah didn’t enter, but reassured everyone that “Todd” would be examining all the candidates, and would let everyone know who to vote for.
Another said “The world awaits Sarah’s endorsement.”
Bizarre stuff.
I dont know if she has the kingmaker thing going. 31 of her 64 endorsements lost in either the primary of the general.
With her wins, there were a good number who were already the favorite, or likely to win anyway, like:
Michele Bachmann
Nikki Haley
Pat Toomey
Marco Rubio
Allen West
Rand Paul
John Boozman
Mary Fallin
Rick Perry
Jon McCain
Butch Otter
A good number of those were incumbents, and they were all the choice of FR, except probably McCain.
Im not saying that she shouldnt endorse, but rather that her endorsements were not as authoritative as we have believed them to be. Just look at Sharron Angle, Carly Fiorina, Christine O’Donnell, and Joe Miller of her home state.
I read that type of stuff too. I think that was the same poster who insisted that even if Cain won the Presidency, Palin would actually be controlling him from Wasilla and be the defacto President. It was a serious post.

You know,the Sarah supporters have come to grips with the issue. We don’t need a thread trying to keep it alive, or dissing those who have not gotten there yet.
This is just plain unnecessary, vanity label or no.

HERMAN CAIN!..... and then on election day, 2012 you all “get to” vote for Mitt Romney....and then your smugness turns to anger and you threaten never again to choose the lesser of two evils.......until election day 2016. Using your logic, that would rule out Cain, Gingrich, Santorum, and Romney. The people who demean (not referring to you, at least on this post) Palin now after she is out of the race are just as much HATERS as the DNC journalism propaganda machine and the DimCraps that continuously tried to demean her when they were worried she would run.
