That kind of thing has been happening every week for the last 3 years.
I believe that book written by that a-wipe had a lot to do with her not running.
I suspect that one of the things he wrote was true, and she didnt want any more of it.
Its a damned shame though.
“only reason he hired Palin is because she is hot and got ratings”
That’s the only reason Ailes hires anyone.
Except for the leftist hacks he hires like BOR & Leftard Smith.
I think she was told by the PTB that it’s Mitts turn.
Wipe your eyes, blow your nose and GET OVER IT!
“I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings,” can be taken two ways. Hot could mean everyone is talking about her. Then again it’s clear that Ailes doesn’t mind some eye candy. They don’t call it FOX News for nothing. Either way, it’s not disgusting. Are we supposed to pretend being good looking in media isn’t a plus? I don’t see Sarah getting offended, at least not enough to turn down the paycheck.
I don’t blame any conservative for not wanting to subject their family to the media’s conservative anal exam.
Thanks for posting this. It’s an interesting topic. I actually shed a few tears when I heard she was not running - I’m not ashamed to admit it.
I was appalled to find out that creepy Nicole Wallace (who I always confuse with Gail Collins - ugly hag lookalikes) had written a roman a clef a la Joe Klein’s book on the Clintons. What a cheap and disgusting way to make a buck!
My pet quack theory? Sarah dropped out of the race to make sure Wallace’s book bombed!
“Roger Ailes came out and said...”
Doesn’t seem like something the boss would say about someone that works for him. Maybe he didn’t say it. Maybe Sara’s about to leave Fox. I wish she would end her employment with Fox. Buddying around with Hannity and Beck isn’t completely compatible with her goal of being “independent”.
Hey, did Rush (distributed by Fox network) ever say anything about Palin’s withdrawal? As someone said before, that is mysterious. If he hasn’t said anything, that must also mean he isn’t taking calls about Palin.
lol. Ailes cracks me up. I love that guy.
I don't know if I qualify as one of your good friends, but what other reason is there to put someone on the air? If they don't pull in ratings, they get canned. Ailes understands this, the other two idiot cable networks don't.
For my part, I've always loved Palin and never really considered her "hot". I just love her conviction and style. She does take great care of herself and has a nice disposition. That does make her hot.
The Palin candidacy was derailed last summer when the Romney/RINO/Establishment GOP cabal put Bachman up and gave her sufficient media exposure to dampen Palin’s buzz that was peaking about that same time.
I cite as evidence the fact that Bachman is nowhere to be found, now that Palin isn’t running. She’s not needed any more. Whether Bachman was a party to the plan, I do not know, but I suspect she was.
This technique was effectively used in 2008 by the McCain forces who tasked Fred Thompson with the job of keeping us conservatives occupied so as to not coalesce early around a candidate. You’ll recall how he never campaigned that hard, and once McCain became the likely nominee, he withdrew from the race.
That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.
Nobody “told” Sarah what to do. In case no one noticed, Sarah doesn’t take orders well, nor march to the beat of someone elses drum.
I hadn’t heard that Roger Ailes said this. Would you cite the credible source that quotes him please? (NOTE: I said CREDIBLE, not LEFTIST)
To give Joe McGinnis’ book ANY credibility — that “one of the things he said” must have been true, is ludicrous. Even all the major LEFTIST organs have taken him down for the tripe he published.
Nicole Wallace, like so many others, has a name to be made, wants to self-promote, and knows she can do it by taking a shot at Sarah. That’s a very popular sport in “pundit-world” these days, and has been for 3 years. Did you read Kathleen Parker’s latest column this weekend re: Sarah? Yeah. Kathleen Parker is a witch, too.
The insinuation that Sarah was/is “mentally ill” is not only disgusting, it presumes that both the Media and the McCain Machine were COMPLETELY clueless and MISSED that little detail prior to her selection as VP nominee in 2008? That they didn’t find it until just NOW in 2011? Gimme a break! Had NOTHING to do with Sarah’s decision.
Sarah has made her decision after much prayer and talking with her family. I am very sad, but I respect her decision. She will have a future role in national leadership, I believe, but now is not the time. I think her decision actually clarifies just where this country really is. We are worse off than we even appear right now. And I’m not sure any candidate can pull us back from the precipice we are accelerating toward. Perhaps we have to go over that cliff and crash — and we’ll be hard-pressed to save much more than our families for a while, before we can start thinking about our States or the nation again....Maybe Sarah intuitively gets that. Something to consider.
Was she forced into her MSM job by Ailes? How often was she working there? Was she a regularly scheduled host or just an occasional contributor?
The Aug. 15 announcement of “Defend the Republic,” a paying gig with Glen Beck was announced was the final, big, red flag for me. It was after Iowa’s Undefeated premiere and scheduled for October.
I just thought to myself she’s not running and it irked me a bit. It’s the first time I though she’s yanking chains and she should stop it if she’s not serious about this run. It was the topper to the Fox/Ailes meeting, trademarks and Bristol’s book.
Hoped I was wrong.
I think that it was 100% her daughters’ fear for her life that caused her no to run, and 0% extraneous criticisms by the likes of creeps such as Wallace and Ailes.
I HAVE ONE BIG QUESTION THOUGH: Can anyone name even *one* thing that Sarah is “free” to say today that she could not have said as an active candidate? I can’t think of anything. Bob
