BTW, I grew up in the late 60s when the price of sex was ZERO as in “free love”. Maybe these idiot journalists should check with their grandparents for some pointers.

Between the “free sex” era of the 60’s, movies and TV causal sex (sex predominates most movies and TV), what do we expect? The era of virginal marriage is a thing of the past. In most TV programs, sex between unmarried couples seems to be the norm. Nobody just dates, they sleep together. This is what is projected on the youth of today.

BS. The only difference between now and before is people talk about sex more now.

Yeah, we now have 13-year-old girls happily swapping around pictures of their privates on their phone-cameras to their schoolmates.
The culture has taken mind-boggling declines lately that most people haven’t even mentally registered yet.

Women have always been promiscuous.
They were previously more discreet.

“Although there are women that don’t have sex without commitment, there are more than enough competitors who will sleep with a man for a lot less commitment and little to no dating, allowing men to get a lot of bang for their buck.”
Not good news for good girls.
“Other things that are said to have contributed to these changes include gender equality, birth control and internet porn.”
So much for progress.

Seems to me these “economists” have it backwards.
The price of sex declines as women become more promiscuous.
The demand is always there. Supply is killing their profit margins. :)
