THE DEMOCRAT WAR AGAINST REPUBLICANS -1854 TO PRESENT

Democrats have NEVER been about Equality or Equity.

Many have become enamored of the “smooth round rock” story. The Washington Post seems to think they have this HOT issue in another vain attempt to portray Republicans, especially Texas Republicans as Racist.

The true History of the Democrat Party in Texas and the South is one of Lynching of Former Slaves, Abolitionist, Union Soldiers, Black AND White Republicans.

Many say but look at the Democrats today. They are against oppression and violence. For those that hold that view please beware that oppression and violence is exactly where the Democrat Party of today stands. The targets may have change but the agenda of this vile Party has never change.

As with snakes every so often the Democrat Party needs to shed it’s skin to further it’s agenda. Especially when they need to convince “moderate” Republicans to join their cause. Republicans made the mistake of trusting Andrew Johnson (D) and decades of Segragation etc smothered the South.

Before: Reconstructionists discovered that efforts to expand suffrage rights could easily run aground. With the abolition of slavery, the "three-fifths clause" in the Constitution effectively became null and void, since blacks were now counted as whole citizens. Paradoxically, this change meant that the South might actually gain power in Congress, since their proportionate representation would be based on a larger population. To help counterbalance this gain, President Johnson-- under fire from abolitionists for his slow and reluctant steps toward racial reconciliation-- proposed extending the vote to literate blacks worth at least 250 dollars. Southern states rejected the idea, and blacks remained disenfranchised. But debates over suffrage bedeviled the North as well. Discriminatory voting qualifications were standard operating procedure in those six Northern states that even allowed African-Americans to vote at all. Referendums in 1865 to expand the black vote in three states failed. The 1866 gubernatorial election in Pennsylvania serves as a good example of the rhetoric employed to defeat black enfranchisement. Pitting Democrat Hiester Clymer against Republican James Geary, the contest was literally framed by the Democrats as a contest between sensible advocates of white power and the raving radicals who would dare to extend the vote to freedmen, as shown in the following cartoon campaign poster.

When it became clear to Northeastern Democrats that the radical Republicans were pushing for full rights for the former slaves, they formed a partnership with the “moderate” Republicans to make the reconstruction of the Confederate States the responsibility of the Southern States. The Democrats locked the continued Racist beliefs, Jim Crow, Poll Tax, lack of education, and segregation into the southern states.

Andrew Johnson was a proponent of the first, more lenient theory, while the radical Republicans who would so nearly remove him from office were advocates of the second theory. The most radical of the radical Republicans, men like Thaddeus Stevens and Charles Sumner, believed also in the full political equality of the freed slaves. They believed that black men must be given equal rights to vote, hold office, own land, and enter into contracts, and until southern states made such promises in their laws they had no right to claim membership in the Union. (Republicans also had more practical reasons to worry about Johnson's lenient reconstruction policy: the congressmen elected by white southerners were certain to be overwhelmingly Democrats, reducing if not eliminating the Republican majorities in both houses.) The first serious conflict over the course of reconstruction concerned the plan drafted by the Johnson Administration for North Carolina. The plan called for residents to elect delegates to a state convention that would frame a new state constitution. The cabinet split 4 to 3 in favor of allowing black residents to vote, but Johnson sided with those who would restrict voters to those qualified to vote under state law at the time of North Carolina's secession-- whites only. Secretary of War Edwin Stanton reported that "the opposition of the President to throwing the franchise open to the colored people appeared to be fixed." In January, 1866, Senator Lyman Trumbull introduced two bills. One would enlarge the powers of the Freedmen's Bureau while the other would extend basic civil rights to negro citizens. Andrew Johnson surprised many who believed he would postpone confrontation with the radical Republicans by vetoing both bills.

Democrats in Texas furious at Abraham Lincoln and Sam Houston (R-TX) began to take action to stop the activities of the Freedman’s Bureau and the Republicans.

The Ku Klux Klan remains perhaps the most pervasive symbol of racism during the Reconstruction. Klansmen disrupted Republican meetings, terrorized potential black voters, and threatened radical leaders. [v] However, the veil of secrecy surrounding Klan members generally protected them from prosecution. [vi]

In December 1873 the state had its first general election since 1869. Governor Davis ran again for the Republican nomination and received it, then campaigned in defense of his administration. The conservative coalition that had attacked Davis up to this point came apart, and for the first time since the war the Democratic party ran a regular candidate, leaving their moderate Republican allies to move back to the Davis party or stay out of politics. After considerable internal upheaval, the Democratic convention nominated Richard Coke on the fifth ballot. Coke supported the continued dismantling of the Republican program, although he favored a new constitutional convention. Davis secured strong support only in the black belt and some western counties. Coke won easily, 85,549 to 42,663. For all practical purposes the Republican effort was over, but one last step had to be taken to end legislative Reconstruction. Houston Republicans attempted to overturn the election in the case of Ex parte Rodriguez or, as it was popularly called, the Semicolon Case. In ruling that the election was unconstitutional, the state supreme court set up a confrontation between Davis and the newly elected Coke, known as the Coke-Davis controversy. Davis refused to step down, arguing that he must enforce the decision of the court. Coke stated his intention to take office no matter what. In fact, Davis's only hope in the matter was for intervention by federal authorities, since he faced overwhelming power in the hands of his opponents. When the president refused to intervene, Davis had to step down. In January 1874 the Democrats staged a military celebration at the state Capitol, firing a 102-gun salute for the newly inaugurated Governor Coke and his lieutenant governor, Richard Hubbard. Coke's triumph marked a strong and lasting reaction to the Republican regime. Democrats controlled the state government for the next century.

Texans have had fought for over a 100 years to get the Democrats out of Austin and to marginalize a racist and power hungry Party. Texas went through the boom/bust cycle all during the Democrats rule. It wasn’t until the Republicans FINALLY gained control that politicians like Perry began to diversify the economy of Texas to alleviate the Boom/bust cycle.

The Democrat theology of socialist enslavement to the State and their willingness to threaten (you will pay a penalty if you don’t get ObamaCare), or use violence is well documented in the history of the United States.

Will we as a Country stand by and allow the very same scenario to repeat itself. Tea Party Repubs, conservatives, moderates (/s) sit out this election if their particular candidate does not win the nomination.

Do Republicans recoil at the Beckels of the country spewing the words RADICAL REPUBLICAN as if it were some sort of epithet? It is 90 days until the 1st primary. Republicans are being jerked around by the media like ragdolls. They are touting that Romney can’t get over 29% of the Repubs in the polls. Yet continue to belittle and harange Perry. Building up Cain who actually has less experience than Obama. Zero spent a couple of years in the Senate.

Do we go back to the bad ole days: Despite embarrassing episodes like that of Davis, Republicans managed to make gradual gains in Texas as the 19th Century drew to a close. In 1876, nearly one-third of the statewide vote went to Republicans. A handful of Republican candidates, including several African Americans, won election to the State Legislature. But beginning in 1905 with the passage of the Terrell election law, which required Texans to pay a poll tax, the number of Republican voters in the state would be slashed as many poor Texans could not afford to pay……….. Any doubts about Republican realignment in Texas were removed in the 1986 election cycle. The majority of the members of the old school of conservative Democrats had either fled their Party’s ranks or retired from office, leaving the liberal core that is the heart of today’s Democrat Party. Needless to say, former Governor Bill Clements was re-elected by a wide margin. Republicans enjoyed a net gain of 127 local seats, the most in the nation, and four more state representative seats.

Rick Perry has been targeted by the Liberal Texas democrats. We know they will lie, cheat, steal to get their way. Anyone who doubts that this incident re the hunting lease is a staged event for the WAPO, should seriously understand that Texas Democrats carry big chips on their shoulders. And Perry will never be forgiven for leaving the good ole boys in the dust. Governor Perry is being subjected to a HIGH TECH LYNCHING, just like Clarence Thomas. Black and White lynchings continue by the Democrats But, we can make a difference, just ask Dan Rather.

Republicans and Americans need to return to the ideals of National Freedom, Personal Freedom and Fiscal Freedom. Democrats offered the opposite, National Slavery to the World, Personal slavery to the State, and Fiscal Slavery for our Children.

The Washington Post fabricated the Perry story at the request of Obama.

The Washington Post is complicit in the cover-up over Fast and Furious. They are part of the scandal.

When Eric Schultz from the DOJ yelled at Sharyl Attkisson over her coverage of Fast & Furious, it revealed the relationship between the White House and the primary media outlets in this country.

This is what Attkisson said:

“They will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not reasonable,” she told Ingraham. “They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.”

It was given by someone in the administration to the AP who ran with the story.

Unfortunately, it has already been debunked.
