Why do you think Rush didn't bring up Palin's announcement that she's not running for president?
“I would say being mad that someone did not mention that a non-candidate decided to stay a non-candidate and calling him a coward, with bad manners and contempt is the definition of being emotional.”
She was talking about running for awhile, and even did a bus tour. Rush frequently mentioned her, and her possibly running. Why did all the other hosts talk about her? Christie was a non-candidate and Rush mentioned him.
GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. The what of the comment Rush owed to his audience (and yes, as America's premiere conservative commentator, he owed it to them ESPECIALLY because he so often opined that if Palin got in the race it would be a "tsunami" and game changer -- he wasn't exactly silent, Raider Sam!) is beyond me, and I have made zero attempt to say what that comment should have been. What I have made very clear is that HE SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING. Anything, even if it was "I'm not ready to talk about it yet." He didn't. It was cowardly and bad mannered. One doesn't have to be emotional to detect cowardice and rudeness in someone else.
As for what could he have said to lift my spirits? IF I KNEW, I WOUDN'T BE SO INCLINED TO LISTEN TO HIM! That's the thing about Rush -- he's so often known the right thing to say at the time it was needed most, and HE'S EVEN COMMENTED ON IT HIMSELF. "Be of good cheer" is a tradition with him!
He's a conserative commentator. He completely ignored a story that HE KNEW was preying on the minds of a huge part of his audience. That is neither "emotional" nor "in my head." IT IS A FACT. In any other profession, any other circumstance, a "professional" who treated his "clients" thus would be exhibiting chicken-heartedness, contempt, and disdain for his clients.
I think that you never liked Palin, and so you are gratified by Rush's silence today. Is that emotional and in my head? Maybe ... but only you know whether or not I've hit the truth of YOUR stubborn refusal to understand what I've expressed consistently on this thread.
I dont care why the other hosts did or why he talked about Christie.
There were times when Rush has sounded like Palin’s campaign manager. Possibly he is upset, as I am, and didn’t want to say anything Huntsman-like that he’d be sorry for. Bob
She’s taken a different, and much less effective direction.
Yeah, because if you did, you'd have to admit your and Rush's inconsistency.
Well, that’s why I’m asking about why he didn’t mention Palin.
I gave a potential reason, you want to beat a dead horse. And now, you are attacking her the same way that her detractors did.
Rush didnt owe anybody anything except for owing his sponsors to run their ads. What good could he possibly have done? But it is easier to call Sarah not important and Rush a coward than it is to realize that you rely on people you dont know for your emotional well being.
But since you know what Rush should do, I suggest you apply to be the program director.
What?
“What good could he possibly have done? But it is easier to call Sarah not important and Rush a coward than it is to realize that you rely on people you dont know for your emotional well being.”
He’s an analyst. That’s his job, and he didn’t mention Palin’s decision for a reason.
Hannity? I didn't hear...
What's up with that?
Envy for Levin getting the scoop, or something they know that they won't talk about, just like Rush stayed away from Tiger Woods only to say after he got caught that he knew about it all along.
That is what I want to know....
Something doesn't smell right here.
It is just like they didn't want to discuss aspect of Clinton eon's ago, stuff they wouldn't go near as if it was to conspiratorial ( read Ambrose Evan's Prichard's "Secret Life of Bill Clinton")....
Yes, Hannity had her on his radio show today, and I think Hannity had her on Fox last night.
But what up w/ Glenn and Rush....
I'll speculate that Ron Paul has studied the tea leaves thoroughly, but (despite words claiming he's in it to win) his real goal is simply for his message to be heard. So far as Huntsman is concerned, I can't guess the nature of his malfunction.
Wow. You are so married to your own misinterpretation of what I’ve been saying here that it’s amazing. And revealing.
You didnt say that Sarah is losing importance and that Rush was a coward?
If you want to run around feeling righteous in your sorrow, feel free. Im done.
Maybe he’s ticked that she announced on Mark Levin’s show vs. his show? Perhaps?
Given that he and Mark used to work together, maybe he needs to wash the sand out of his goodies.
Don’t think Mark Levin mentioned her even once today either.
But Mark interviewed her yesterday.
