I realize this is my own personal opinion, but if one of my children was missing I would be comatose, not on tv asking someone to return him or her. I'm always a little freaked out by those who are able to appear on tv. It's not like their appearance would turn the heart of a kidnapper - the police are asking the same thing, to return the child. But tv appearances seem odd to me.

The couple isn't married, she has a couple of boys from a previous relationship - they live in a middle class neighborhood.

well the not married and kids from previous relationships casts doubt, not that that makes them child murderers etc but still. and i agree, i would have to be all kinds of drugged up to not be in a fetal position or hysterical.

The media love grieving families.

After the FBI captured that guy in Verona 2 days ago, with a shootout, the media actually asked a bystander what it sounded like.
