California – New Law.. Warrantless Searches

Starting next year police here in California will have power to search without a warrant. The circumstances are limited, but the principle isen’t. Thanks to a bill signed by Governor Brown, police can search for pirated copies of movies and compact discs. The idea is to cut down on stolen ‘intellectual property.’ The warrantless searches will be allowed at 'plants' that make ‘commercial copies’ of CD’s and DVDs.

Some wonder if that violates the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution dealing with Search and Seizure.

Others wonder if one day the law will expand.. beyond just 'plants.'

If they can do it in plants, then they can do it any where.

That was just to sell it to the public. They will slowly phase it in.

Will someone search houses for those who own fake CDs and DVDs? The same logic applies to that situation. And search everyone’s computer for downloaded songs and movies.
All digital data in any format now becomes came with this ruling.

Anyone with a DVD burner would be a potential suspect.

So, in California, SWAT teams will be knocking down your door to check out your DVDs and hard drives? Do they get to shoot you if you resist?

No challenge to this law being put together yet?

How’s that budget coming along, Moonbeam?

This egregious example of California silliness will be overturned on the first appeal.

Just another example of the fascists of the Left thinking they can do anything they please.

The essence of the fascist mentality.
