I am at a loss as to why anyone needs her to run now. It reminds of one of my favorite scenes from Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence has just lost one of his two servants, a boy, to quicksand. As pennance he feels he must walk instead of ride his camel. The surviving servant boy rides and can’t understand why his master walks. At some point he asks, “Why lord? Why do you walk? It serves no purpose.”

If the purpose is to win the Republican nomination, and then the general election, strategy is of utmost importance. Romney has been running for 5 years. Pawlenty got in before anyone. Even Perry seems to have jumped the gun, and he’s only been in for a few weeks. I would say to every candidate that has gotten in WITH name recognition:

“Why lord? Why do you run so early? It serves no purpose.”

Read Going Rogue, and you’ll know why she needs to run. She is quite simply the most powerful remedy that America has seen since Reagan.

If this were March, and Romney and Pawlenty and Cain were all hopping in, I’d agree with you.

It’s October, and you actually have to file petitions to get on the ballot. And those petition deadlines are coming up soon, starting October 15.

I know; Reagan announced in November. But primaries started in late February back then. Now, primaries start just after Christmas. (Thanks, Florida, you ****ing ***-****s.)
