Practice makes perfect.....post on....
good one! A++++
All these fancy words for “boiling.” Sometimes it’s called “blanching” too!
what sports do they play ? ; )
WI never shows up on my radar screen! LOL!
there has to be some diff, i suspect it’s the amount of time that you leave it in the boiling water. Blanching is for a short period of time, i seem to recall. Seems like it was something you do to green beans before canning them or something. My mom had a pressure cooker and would can vegetables and fruit when we were little.
hilarious!
In case you doubt me about Midwestern sports teams, here are the weekend scores:
National League Playoffs:
Sat. Milwaukee Brewers defeat AZ Diamondbacks 4-1
Sun. Milwaukee Brewers defeat AZ Diamondbacks 9-4
Series continues in AZ on Tues.
Sat. Wisconsin Badgers defeat Nebraska Cornhuskers 49-17
Not too shabby!
Sun. Green Bay Packers Defeat Denver Broncos 40-23
Oh i don’t doubt you! just teasing! i do not follow baseball, or NFL really and we mostly only pay attention to the Big East and now ACC college teams now that Pitt and SU are moving there.
Hey! Wisconsin has Scott Walker, Paul Ryan, and Ron Johnson. We SHOULD be on your radar screen. We are shakin’ and bakin’.
Badgers play collegiate football.
Brewers play Major League baseball. I know you’ve never heard of them. They haven’t been in the playoffs since 1982. There was a little boy caught on camera at the game yesterday (about 10) holding a sign that said, “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this!” Times 3, I thought.
Packers play football (2010 Superbowl Champs).
Methinks your radar needs repair! LOL.
You have some good politicians!
I don’t follow sports at all. But, you can’t escape it when the teams are doing this well. All the games had to be on TV while my husband did outdoor tasks. He’d run in and take a peek from time to time; and I daren’t change the station without incurring anger, should he pop in and find me watching something else.
When the Packers are playing he likes to mute the sound of the TV and turn on the radio to hear the commentary. A parishioner of our church is the “Voice of the Packers”, and he prefers Wayne’s commentary.
It’s as simple as boiling a pan of water. How lame can you get?
All three that I mentioned are the real deal. We’re very proud of them.
Johnson is new to the political game, but I can find no fault with anything he as said, or done. Both Ryan and Walker are old hands, and I find no fault with them either. All three would make fine Presidential candidates in 2016 or 2020.
do you only boil them to get them soft? and if the pear is already pretty ripe, do you still need to poach it?
I only follow hockey and the Caps were on tv yesterday for the first time yesterday, for the last preseason game. the NHL network had some sort of difficulties at first and so i had the AM radio station on that covers the games until i saw it on my tv screen. We have season tickets and xsgirls were at the game yesterday. The seats are 2 rows up from the glass and so they are often on TV, but yesterday it was a Blackhawk feed and so no coverage of Caps fans.
Hmmmm. I think they play hockey in Milwaukee. Something called the Admirals, as I remember. In 25 years I’ve been to one game. It was cold.
You want them softer than just ripe but not mush. Poach for at least 5 minutes.
Losing Andre Johnson was a big hit to us - also Ben Tate. I thought you guys would come back at the end as well.....at least we didn’t fold like Dallas!
