I have no doubts that you are correct. The public can be and is being led around like sheep by the media and by other interests. Most of us Americans have much more in common than we have in disagreement. Wedge issues are used by the media to divide us and control us. Politicians thrive on creating divide vs unity.

I strongly believe we need to see accountability for the thievery and corruption, and too often it is covered up because the politicians are being paid off and are part of the problem.

The reason the Tea Party was first created was not about ideology, taxes or deficits; it was about politicians who had their ear only to big donors and lobbyists, and then it became about the bailouts, and then it became about deficits.

Give us honest and a frugal democratic government for and by the people without corruption or waste. Instead our government and capitalism have been co-opted. Global CEOs, big government unions and Wall St have co-opted capitalism and free markets using cronyism and corruption. Free trade was never bilateral. It favored other countries at the expense of USA’s security and economy. But it made lots of money and markets for global financial markets and CEOs.

Congress has a Constitutional duty to defend the USA, our borders and our economy and they failed. Their job was never to make Wall Street rich or promote unions. It was to keep the USA strong with a rising standard of living for all. Instead they picked selected global winners based upon the amount of their bribes.

Until millions of Americans demand that Congress put their focus again on making the USA strong instead of giving it away to certain countries or global interests or special interests it is not going to change. This movement could have legs in very frustrated America.
