I’m not seeing how the press is doing this.

She throws hints around quite frequently. If she said nothing the press would have nothing to report. But she’s the one that fuels the conversation by, for example, talking as she did on Greta’s show recently.

I can only conclude that, for reasons that will become clear at some future point, Sarah wants the speculation to continue apace.
