If she had been a candidate when McGinniss book and a movie, just released in the last few days, had come out, the press would have used the smears and demand she answer them instead of talking policy.

Oh good grief. Now your trying to tell us she held off announcing because of the McGinniss book? Please. Do you know how many excuses have been made for her non announcement one way or the other? The Palin fanatics always make up some new excuse for the tease campaign. She had to wait for her emails to be released, she had to wait for some legal deadlines based on when she quit her gig as Governor of Alaska, she had to wait for the other candidates to be vetted, etc, etc. There is always some new excuse. Next it will be because the weather was bad, it's hunting season and the family is busy killing moose, Fox wouldn't let her quit, the blogs have been mean to her so she had to let things calm down, etc.
