Agreed, the Rays could still be in this too if it weren’t for a little bad luck at the wrong time. They’re a fine team as well.

Tigers @ Yankees at 8 PM tonight on TBS

Arizona @ Milwaukee tomorrow at 5 PM on TBS

Cards @ Philly tomorrow at 8:30 PM on TBS

Perfect weather tonight for what should be a classic game.

You can feel in in the air at our American Legion today.
We have tons of Yankee, Philly and Boston fans.
The Yankee fans are so up tight.
Boston fans are still in shock.
Philly fans are always arrogant and confident.

I hope they all get eliminated.

Vegas Odds

Detroit Tigers
Doug Fister (R)
+1½ (-120)
+163
9 (-105)o (-115)u

New York Yankees
Ivan Nova (R)
-1½ (EVEN)
-178

Best of Five (2-2-1) Series tied 2-2

I put $100 on Detroit, I will get paid $220 if they win. This is for you Jim Leyland.

I’m just a loyal Tiger fan.

Despite the mess that is Detroit, you won’t find a better sports crowd.

As a Cleveland fan, I hope for a Lions - Buffalo super bowl.

Well deserved by both.

The Tigers have been wearing a Sparky patch on their sleeve all season. As I understand it, one of the other teams has been wearing it as well. (Might be Cincinnati reds)

Doug Fister started the season with the Mariners and had a 3-12 record.

Since getting traded to the Tigers he has an 8-1 record and was American league pitcher of the month in September.

Yikes, I know ERA isn't the only stat for a pitcher, but check this out:

Probable pitchers: DET @ NYY

Fister has a 11.57 ERA?! Nova has done pretty well... Can the Tigers beat that fierce Yankee lineup with a pitcher like Fister? This game is Do or Die for both teams...

GO TIGERS! *Please*

The Tigers brutalized the White sox all season and swept both of the last two series against them.

A. Jackson, CF
D. Kelly, 3B
D. Young, LF
M. Cabrera, 1B
V. Martinez, DH
M. Ordonez, RF
A. Avila, C
J. Peralta, SS
R. Santiago, 2B

Young through Peralta are lethal. Jackson, Kelly, and Santiago aren’t exactly amateurs.
