Cheney did nothing wrong so I reject your “argument.” Bush was the president and he made the decisions—took full responsibility. I would expect Cain to have backbone and take responsibility for his decisions as well, no matter who his VP was. Only an insecure weakling would appoint less-qualified people to such high positions because they were afraid of being bullied into a wrong decision.

Cheney led Bush by the nose. He completely turned Bush from an opponent of nation building to the biggest proponent. Cheney appointed his own choices of cabinet members and larded it with The New American Century war in Iraq advocates [before 9/11 it was in their plan]. Cheney ruined the Bush presidency with his own agenda. Bush was not up to running a military policy and if Cain isn’t, he’ll be another Bush.
