All the fire ants in Texas have gone deep underground because of the drought. I have not seen a new mound in months.

I wonder if they didn’t water the playing field to keep the grass alive? If so, wouldn’t that make the ground more “fertile” for these type critters?

The showers we had last week brought a couple of colonies back to the surface. Out comes the white Orthene powder. DRT.
