Those two aside this seems like a pretty strong ‘class’.

thank you...Donna Summer is the only nominee here with more charted hits than Tommy James and The Shondells. Tommy James’ songs spanned my teenage years with two or three big hits every year. Joan Jett’s No. 2 biggest hit was Crimson and Clover. The hits just came one after another: Hanky Panky, I Think We’re Alone, Mony Mony, Draggin’ The Line, Mirage, Crystal Blue Persuasion, Sweet Cherry Wine, It’s Only Love, Getting Together, etc.
On one website, it said Tommy James sold more records in 1968 and 1969 than anybody, including the Beatles.
