My husband has a habit of calling flip-flops “shower shoes.” That really bugs me.
Your husband former military? Because, when I was in the Marine Corps, that is what they called flip-flops.

No, but he said in college that’s what everyone called them. Besides, he grew up in rural Kentucky, apparently not a hotbed of flip-flop wearers.
