Y'know, I think Freepers may have a few suggestions.

I believe this is all about Obama. Remember the schools being named for him before the inaguration? They need to get this to happen while there is still a shadow of the hype of hope and change alive.
I think even the most far left liberals know deep down inside that by the time he is gone, there will be no one who would consider him to be on a stamp. And all the schools that were named for him will all have been quietly renamed as well by the time of his death.

Thomas Sowell for sure. Stephen Hawking, amazing man that ticks me off, but I can’t deny how amazing he is. Bah! It is too late for Dr. Michael Elias DeBakey.
Do they need to be Americans? If not, maybe Margaret Thatcher, Daniel Hannan (sorry, just LOVE that speech of his)

They should have a stamp series of teenage girls taking cellphone camera Facebook profile shots of themselves. We can bury them in time capsules so future civilizations will have an idea of what went wrong with ours.

They should have kept the rule disallowing living people on the stamp

How about this idea. You get to choose what to put on your stamps but we get to choose alternative postal service companies to get our mail instead of being stuck with a monopoly.

When my brother’s first grandson was born he had the baby’s picture put on stamps. Very cute.

Suggestions? Sure do! If the post office needs money why not sell a spot on the postage stamps? Pay a million dollars and get your face on one issue of stamps. Second issue, double the price and no more spots for former buyers for the next few years.
Or maybe instead of faces company logos. Or cancellation stamps with a persons name on it if they buy a special envelope.

It’s not the picture on a stamp that will help boost the US Postal Service’s revenue. It’s having the right number on stamp. Right now, the number is too high. Purge the unions from the system, the number could be lowered to compete with private carriers.

I hope a lot of conservatives take the initiative and have some Sarah Palin stamps made, just for show and in no means a legal postage stamp, just something like pepper in the eyes for the crony capitalists and liberal elites.
But she will have her own postage stamp I believe.

SeeBS (don’t ask, she wants to watch it and I must endure) this AM had several suggestions: Warren Buffett, Barack Obama, and Barbara Streisand. They were gushing over the prospects. I’m going to buy a “return to sender” inkstamp.

The technology is available to allow people to put their own faces on stamps. It would be fairly easy to uplode an imagine of ones-self, or anything else for that matter, and then hit the ‘order stamps’ button. They could arrive in the mail the next day. Vanity stamps could be sold for a little extra, thereby saving the Post Office. And you’re welcome...
