Herman Cain is closer to grass roots conservatism than any of the current crop of candidates except, possibly, Michele Bachmann, to whom he is about equal.

It is pretty obvious who the establishment guys are, two dueling flavors named Mutt and Prick.

I discount the Mackinac poll because its taken by a very limited number of political activists who are genetically orientated to vote Romney.

That said, I think my fellow Michiganders are a little tired of seeing candidates step over us to get to the perceived power brokers. Its going to take a candidate who gets out and spends some serious time among the folks.
