While I stand by my opposition to the interference of Sharia law into the American legal system, I remain humble and contrite for any statements I have made that might have caused offense to Muslim Americans and their friends.
Now I have no problem with the first part of that statement, just exactly what was he apologizing for in the second half? He made some very clear, common sense, comments about his opinions regarding Islam, Sharia and Muslims in general. Things that should be said far more often. Why then did he go make kissy-face with the Muslims?
It would have been far better, in my not so humble opinion, if he had told them to shove their demand for an apology up their collective butts and twirl on it.
Right, he apologized for offending anyone, but he did NOT back down. He has reaffirmed many times since he is against Sharia Law.
He stands with Israel 100% too.
