Cain was chairman of a regional Federal Reserve bank- that is very different than the Federal Reserve chair. Regional presidents have nothing to do with monetary policy, currency valuation, etc. The Regional banks are responsible for transferring funds between banks, clearing checks, providing a neutral party between inter-bank disputes, and ensuring banking rules and filings are done properly. The regional banks aren't involved in any of that "Jekyll Island" stuff- that is the Federal Reserve Chairman and the US Treasury Secretary. Unfortunately too many through out just the word "Fed" out and people don't realize there is a difference between the regional banks they do business with and the government policy arm.

Freeman is a POS, he has questionable choices in marrying people.
So Cain worked at the fed for four years, so what, the guy has a degree in mathematics and is a successful self made businessman, who else should they find to work at the fed, plus that was over 15 years ago. I don;t like the Fed either, but he is hardly a career fed chair like Benji Bernanke or Little Timmy Geitner.
I used to work at McDonalds, does that make me unqualified for my current job I hold? And does that make me a schill for fast food?
I am getting sick of this Bashing of Cain “Just because he worked at the fed”. If you are going to bash Cain over his four years at the Kansas City Fed, please at least list some decisions he made at his position that were bad? Otherwise you sound like someone attacking due to association and a tenuous one at that.
