Map To A Renaissance
"We have every opportunity and every encouragement before us, to form the noblest, purest constitution on the face of the earth. We have it in our power to begin the world over again." Thomas Paine 1776
The Founders lived up to Paine's premise, but they compromised some important principles that made it possible for politicians to sequentially corrupt that noblest and purest Constitution. Paine's proposed constitution provided for term limits, but the Constitution as passed, did not. By 1912, politicians and bankers had gained the time and experience needed to begin stripping the Constitution of its powers to limit government. Exactly one century later, We the people of the United States are being given a second chance to get it right.
Politics and economics are the two fundamentals that must be corrected before a renaissance is possible. Term Limits is the essential first political step. Voluntary abolition of the entitlements beginning with Social Security is the second. How We get these first two steps and the subsequent steps in place is spelled out in detail in a six part plan.
Getting the economics right involves correcting some of the Founders' original thinking which can be facilitated by taking advantage of science and technology that did not exist three centuries ago. The Constitution says:
The Congress shall have Power To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;
The Congress shall have Power To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
It is impossible to under estimate the temptation to create money and credit out of thin air. Nor is it possible to over estimate the lengths to which people will go to create money and credit out of thin air. History provides the proof that no government, regardless of their Constitutions or Congresses can be trusted to control money and credit. Time teaches us that free markets offer the best means of protection to control money and credit. And modern technology offers a new alternative that could not have been imagined even two decades ago. A Constitutional amendment is needed to ensure that Congress can pass no law that precludes anyone from issuing currencies, including private digital currencies, based on gold.
The movie starring William Hurt entitled "END GAME" details how a for-profit corporation, Goldfields Inc, engineered a negotiating format that allowed two powerful self-centered groups with completely contrasting interests to peacefully transfer political power avoiding a civil war that could easily have ended in a blood-bath. This round-table discussion format with the right people present form the framework for engineering the renaissance. Charles Koch can get the right people to the table. The 2012 election sets the stage;
"We have it in our power to begin the world over again."
What is needed to enable a Renaissance?
Completely change the composition of Congress beginning with Term Limits and culminating with the Reagan Wing of the Republican Party (the Tea Party on Steroids)
Establish sound money and credit beginning with the abolition of the Federal Reserve
Phasing out of the Entitlements beginning with making participation in Social Security an individual personal choice.
Repeal of the 16th (Income Tax) Amendment
Repeal of the 17th Amendment (election of United States Senators)
Line Item Veto
You can take the first step to initiate the Renaissance by contacting Charles Koch to give him a copy of the plan or asking him to contact the authors of the plan.
Ha. didn’t notice you were already here.
An educated electorate is the only security for liberty.
One nitpicking point however is that no constitution can perfect an imperfect humanity. No matter what safeguards are written in, some scoundrel can find a workaround.
The problem with all government is that problem Paul stated: "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23.
This has been addressed by far better men. Here is one quote that I particularly like:
"But you must remember, my fellow-citizens, that eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty, and that you must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing. It behooves you, therefore, to be watchful in your States as well as in the Federal Government." -- Andrew Jackson, Farewell Address, March 4, 1837
Could I take the liberty of adding your name to the ping list that will be pinged as each article is posted?
Heh,heh. One of the rare times I was EVER ahead of you. ;^)
Interesting concept but may require more time AND the of engaging of more brain cells than many are willing to commit. BUT, lightning can strike anywhere and at any time, eh?
