Sorry FRiend, but you were the one saying that that Gen X didn’t complain..and proceeded to do just that.

Placing a whole generation in your judgemental rant really doesn’t add to your credibility.

I have read this post several times and still can’t get the “neighbor stabbing his wife” analogy. I’m sure you have a point you are trying to make...but it really isn’t expressed very well.

Actually, I think every generation for many years has tried to improve the chance of success for their children. Make their life better and easier than their own. Don’t you? Times are hard right now for everybody. That is no reason for any group of people to throw another under the bus.

JMHO

(What class are you illustrating things to? Are you a teacher...or are you talking about the people on this forum?)

It’s a pretty simple analogy. I don’t care if it’s my knife, you are the one who stabbed my wife with it. The fact that the knife was in my kitchen drawer changes nothing. My knife isn’t the problem. Their murderous criminality is the problem.

Parallel to - my complaining doesn’t make them any less incompetent, and I’m not a whiner because I’m telling them that they can’t do their job half as well as they think they do.

I don’t need to put up with it, they need to do their job. Trying to twist it around to my complaining doesn’t change anything. They are still incompetent and need to be fired whether someone complains or not. My complaining isn’t the problem, their incompetence is the problem.
