haha. good point.
Too bad you aren't 3 years older, then you would be talking about yourself. Broad generalizations based on age is the stupidist thing I have ever heard in my life.
No because you pile on necessary bureaucracy to deliberately slow the process so that everyone around you has to jump through a whole bunch of hoops, so that you can provide the excuse for your job to exist.
Boomers are masters at job inflation and red tape to protect their butt and keep getting paid twice their worth. You deliberately keep everyone focused on process and minutia and act as if you’re Patton leading the charge across France.
Many liberal baby boomers are just embarrassingly stupid. They are so stupid, they don’t know they are stupid. Yet they walk around as if they are all knowing. It is really embarrassing. They have no clue though.
I am a gen xer and my parents were from the greatest generation. You could always tell a difference between kids like me with older parents from the greatest generation and the gen x kids with boomer parents. We were more conservative and also religious.
It’s been going on awhile. FDR was my great-grandmother’s generation and they had theirs too. Won’t put it all on the boomers.
There are in reality alot of good boomers who work harder than hell. And I’ve heard them venting about their own peers. Since times got easier after WWII it’s easier to slack and a percentage of people of every generation have done so.
Your entire post is a joke.
Real business isn’t done by a child on their gameboy.
Hope you grow up and learn this.
I am so glad that I have hiring and firing authority. It keeps whiny children from being hired. There are good kids out there. They are the ones who realize that they don’t know shit. They are the ones who will show up on time and learn. If one of them learns enough THEN I’ll retire.
It doesn’t matter. This so-called economy will soon end with the default process anyway, and there will probably be more interesting changes.
Don’t get weak knees. Boomers and older are to blame for the credit crisis. They have done alot of great things, but stewarding the economic meltdown isn’t one of them.
I don’t deliver pizzas so there might still be a job for your dumb ass.
I’ll retire when I want to because you wee fellers are not even on the horizon of doing my job.
If I worked for you I’d have had your job a long time ago. Way too busy talking about your AUTHORITY and how much you know, I’d have learnt everything you know and leapfrogged right over you while you were still busy talking about it.
Anybody who says they know anything today is an idiot. Nobody knows nothing today because it’s obsolete tomorrow. If it isn’t then your industry isn’t one of consequence. Change is the only constant.
“They are the ones who realize that they dont know shit.”
My nephew was hired by a company a few months ago. It was a new program for the company (Agricultural products) to find young graduates to replace their aging company structure. He was the first to be hired - and beat out hundreds of other applicants.
He was fired after three months. Not sure the real reason, but he claimed he was sitting around doing a lot of nothing, and would actively be asking what could he do, etc.
They said he “didn’t fit the firm’s culture”.
He’s a bright kid, but can be a bit cocky. I wonder if he was too gung-ho and acted like he knew everthing? Or - perhaps it was a bunch of old-farts comfortable in their life-time positions feeling threatened by the young upstart?
That time in the USA after the WWII generation started in the beginning of 1960.As a vet of WWII I saw it happening. My generation came out of the war very much determined to have the USA be the exceptional in history the Founders intended It to be especially for our children. However, we lost sight of the fact that over indulgence for the good life for our children , particularly if/when easy, was creating false entitlements for people, old and young including my generation. This environment of entitlements has grown to the extent that we as a Nation have welcomed many people throughout the entire world to come and share without their having to put much if anything into the economic pot. Politicians can argue and weigh costs vs spending vs revenues till hell freezes over but until they deal with the whole societal scene there will still be just wheel spinning. Of course having crooked public servants including congress and judges doen’t help matters.
Sorry FRiend, but you were the one saying that that Gen X didn’t complain..and proceeded to do just that.
Placing a whole generation in your judgemental rant really doesn’t add to your credibility.
I have read this post several times and still can’t get the “neighbor stabbing his wife” analogy. I’m sure you have a point you are trying to make...but it really isn’t expressed very well.
Actually, I think every generation for many years has tried to improve the chance of success for their children. Make their life better and easier than their own. Don’t you? Times are hard right now for everybody. That is no reason for any group of people to throw another under the bus.
JMHO
(What class are you illustrating things to? Are you a teacher...or are you talking about the people on this forum?)
LOL! I don't hire punks. Certainly not punks who have no experience but do have big mouths.
Way too busy talking about your AUTHORITY and how much you know, Id have learnt learned; everything you know and leapfrogged right over you while you were still busy talking about it.
Look boy, experience takes time and you have no experience. Suck it up or you never will because you will never have even an entry level job.
As to authority, I don't talk about it I simply have it. I am the authority.
Forward your resume to me and I'll correct the errors for you. It might help.
Maybe the little idiot should go and get a second job at night, like bartending, waitress, stuff like taht and put a little extra in the bank. If she’s drowning in student debt, maybe she should have just paid as she went along and now she wouldn’t be in debt? A huge problem with ‘the economy’ is that there are too many young adults that have too much debt and too many degrees are not practical.
