The chair Reagan is sitting in looks like they picked it up off the street.

A hassock is actually made for that.

An ottoman is a piece of furniture consisting of a padded, upholstered seat or bench having neither back nor arms, often used as a stool or footstool, or in some cases as an improvised coffee table. Ottomans are often sold as coordinating furniture with armchairs or gliders.

An ottoman can also be known as a footstool, tuffet, hassock, bisset, or pouffe.[1] Some ottomans are hollow and used for storage.

PS: I am disappointed that George W. would put his feet on the Oval Office desk.

That looks like the White House residence, plus that piece of furniture is made for that.

The surroundings look pretty old, but it is not up to the standards of the White house. The White House looks more like a museum. The chair would not get past the front door. It certainly is not at Rancho del Cielo in California. I don’t know where this little dumpy place is, but one thing I do know Ronald Reagan was The Greatest President in my (Our) lifetime!
