Problem is deer ticks are so small it’s possible to never know you were bitten.

Very true. There is also a bit of a controversy as to whether it is ONLY the deer tick that is the vector.

Folks, please be very careful and take every precaution to avoid being bitten by anything. There are many doctors who are not "Lyme literate" and will not prescribe ABX quick enough. There is a very small window to eradicate the bacteria before it has the potential to become a very serious situation.

I'm not a doctor but I've seen what Lyme can do. It is NOT good.

Good advice is that after spending a day in tick country, you should take a shower and towel off vigorously all over.

You are probably ok if you get the tick off before 72 hours.
