That’s not the case nationwide with those who get much of their HD from the 129 satellite.
129w is currently having issues but should be resolved by Wednesday.
And for all of you that complained about “rain fade” on your sat setup, you dish wasn’t peaked correctly.
Most of these installers are paid by the job, so if they get a decent signal, they tighten down the dish and don’t peak it properly for an optimal signal.
Remember, that dish is catching a signal from a sat 22,500 miles away, and if the mounting post is not 100% plumb, and the Dish not 100% aligned, you will get rain fade.
I’ve subbed to both providers over the past 15 years and only lost signal for a few minutes in a massive hail storm.
If you’re losing your signal in rain, even heavy rain, your dish is not correctly peaked.
I can install and aim a dish just by looking at the position of the Sun.
