Reminds me of something I’ve heard Michael Savage say a few times: “...back when the chrome was thick and the girls were straight”.
Maybe this country was better off when everyone smoked cigarettes and drank booze.
Oh well.
Can you even get candy cigarettes anymore?
Somebody said that this country was a lot better off when cigarette companies could advertise and lawyers couldn’t.
I read somewhere that it was very common (until the 1960s) for New Yorkers to sleep outside on hot summer nights, on fire escapes and such.
