She's waiting to see if Perry can hold the base, whether Bachman can gather support.

If Perry or Bachman can win, I don't think she'll run. If she sees them destroyed, she'll step in.

This house of cards is going to crash down on the next administration so let it fall on a RINO.

I agree with you.

I'm guessing her family is reluctant to endure the attacks from the MSM & general stress during the campaign & in the White House, so she is waiting to see if conservatives are strongly represented in the GOP primaries. If so, & that remains to be seen, she will probably not get into the race. If I had her family responsibilities, I think 2016 or 2020 would be better timing to run for President.

If you recall, back in Feb.(?), the MSM decided to boycott Palin, & stop talking about her. Truth is, much of her publicity back then was from the outrageous attacks on her by the MSM & various Leftist hacks. That backfired on them, but they figured it out. Since then, Palin was written out of the news.

Too, since she is not running for Pres., she lacks the magnetism of an actual candidate. That is to be expected.

Palin is doing well for herself on the speech circuit. She remains a powerful force on the Right. I expect that to continue even beyond the 2012 election. An endorsement from her would be a big boost for any candidate. I expect her to be a political force for a long time.

You sir are 100 percent correct. Palin is first a patriot and politician second. The longer she can draw the fire of the liberal media is good. It keeps the heat off the person that will be the nominee.

So long as Perry looks strong she will not go for it. If it looks like Romney will win she will throw her hat into the ring.

In the last 2-1/2 years the media has wasted countless tons of ink and paper and air time on Palin. Each and every one of those hours and ink could have been an attack on conservatives in general. If the object of attack is Palin and she does not run, the time and money the media spent is wasted. It is a little bit like baseball and war. A sacrifice fly to deep center field brings the winning run home. A feint on the battle field makes the enemy mass it troops in the wrong place and god help those that were part of the feint.

The successful Normandy invasion was successful due to this tactic. The Germans thought the invasion would be at Calis. The allies had amassed a fake invasion force that looked like it was going to Calis. Thank God the Germans bought the feint. Otherwise Normandy would have been most horrid. Our losses at Normandy were actually quite light as compared to what could have happened. However each and every loss was tragic but unavoidable.
