First Thought On Seeing Fergie Sing The National Anthem
September 12, 2011 | Doc Savage

My first thought on seeing the no-talent, crystal meth addict Fergie butchering the National Anthem was here was a junkie whore who Roger Goodell had NO problem with becoming a limited partner of the Miami Dolphins, while Rush Limbaugh, a patriot and the number one radio personality of all-time, is denied a partnership in the St. Louis Rams.

Fergie is the stage name of a female singer in the Black Eyed Peas, a pop group that’s had several top 40 hits since 2003 (you may have heard one of their songs called “I Gotta Feeling”). She’s also had several hit songs as a solo artist.

If you wish, you can see an example of her live vocal talent in this video between 0:30 and 0:45 seconds. . . of course, it all gets fixed up electronically in the recording studio version.

RUSH:  The caller has just said the NFL is racist because in Detroit they brought in the Rolling Stones rather than use a Motown group.  Now, I wouldn’t look at it that way, but some people might.  I don’t happen to look at things that way, but obviously some people did.  Jack Cashill, American Thinker: “The NFL’s Diversity Problem.”  He quotes the Colts owner Jim Irsay: “’I, myself, couldn’t even consider voting for him,’ said Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay of accused thought criminal Rush Limbaugh. ‘As a nation, and as a world, we’ve got to watch our words and our thoughts.’”  How do we watch our thoughts, by the way?  Have you ever seen one?  Jim Irsay must see thoughts.  Anyway, “’Divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about,’ agreed NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. ‘I would not want to see those kind of comments from people.’”

We can kill dogs; we can shoot ourselves in nightclubs; we can run over people while we’re drunk, but we don’t want to do anything divisive with some people who think a certain way.  Now, Cashill writes, “Before these execs start doing their end zone dance about Limbaugh’s exclusion from the NFL ownership club, they might want to address a major diversity scandal brewing in their own house. I refer here not to the exclusion of women from the NFL, although I could.”  After all, we put them in fire departments.  But the NFL steadfastly refuses to allow women in the NFL.  “The difference, of course, is that fire departments can adjust their assignments to keep women out of harm’s way ...  Football teams have no such cover.  Everyone is visible.  What is difficult to justify, however, is the veritable exclusion of Asian-American and, even more incredibly, Mexican-American men from the NFL.  An analysis of Irsay’s AFC South division reveals a shocking lack of genuine diversity.”

Well, I thought that guy Neo (sp?) did a pretty good job at the Giants/Redskins game. Sang the song straight and well.

Let me say it again: Good job, Neo!

Speaking of NFL, I consider it and baseball and basketball one of the biggest examples of corruption and crony capitalism. To my knowledge NASCAR and golf are not yet funded by taxpayers.

The team owners are experts at playing the game of crony capitalism. They put politicians in their pocket and the politicians put billions of taxpayer money in the owners pockets by replacing 30 year old stadiums with new stadiums. The owners can then afford to pay their “prima donna” players many millions while the values of their teams increase by hundreds of millions all thanks to taxpayers who get nothing. The owners get new plush suites for their political buds who funded the stadiums with our money. The team’s owner net worth goes up thanks to taxpayers. Average taxpayers get nothing except more debt and expensive tickets that make the promoters more money. The game is rigged and we pay for the corruption. Both Parties are guilty.

No fan of Fergie here but a popular entertainer performing a one time gig is a lot different from an owner. You’re comparing apples and oranges.
