None of them ever had a coherent answer.
Your post is a keeper. Thank you!
I was thinking about that yesterday. How about we take the money that’s budgeted for paying the government officials and just sort of - oops - spend it on Social Security instead? (wink)
Turnabout’s fair play.
BOOKMARK
I can NOT give specifics, but you MUST believe me. A conference call took place where an employee anonymously asked a question about a point of interest pertaining to everyone. He nearly got looked up and fired. Big companies are ABSOLUTELY brutal now with employees, lawyers be damned (because theirs have more resources and pull to damn any lawyer who dares oppose them). We are entering brand new territory historically.
Both of them are for big business - and big business loves big government because they are one and the same.
Unfortunately for the "little guy," as long as the "little guy" gets his (or her) bread and circuses, the "little guy" doesn't pay much attention to either big business or big government, except when either of the two forget to lube up first.
You let an elitist group retain control of the levers of power for sixty or so years and it's a given that they'll take over the media and the education system which makes it a given that they will establish themselves as a nobility that doesn't need to care about all those, “little people” who haven't sworn allegiance to the party or who are of no use to the party. Decades of corrupt one party rule have consequences and in reality we've had one party rule ever since the late fifties with only the recent change during the Clinton years to break that pattern for a bit.
It's simple. Elections have consequences and under our system the Congressional elections have the most consequences. We're just seeing the consequences of the past sixty years of elections. As long as the fascist democrat party is intact we'll never be more than one or two elections away from that fascist party installing their nobility and not leaving so that they can have the perfect fascist State they've fought for ever since the early twentieth century. From affirmative action to mass murder of those not acceptable to the party, there's not a dimes' worth of difference between the democrat party as it's been since at least the sixties and the prewar Nazi party in Germany.
