To: Domestic Church
I'm afraid to click the link. One of the most heartbreaking memories for me--I'm getting all John Boehnered up as I type--is all the 8 x 12 posters around the city for "missing" loved ones. They were everywhere on the streets, in the subway stations, for months after. It was devestating. So many hearts crushed. The thought of losing my true love that way is beyond comprehension.

I also remember the stench eminating from the site for monthss after. I remember being mad as hell. I rememeber troops on the sidewalks. I remember wearing a breathing mask to work. I remember my first ferry ride back to the city, the following monday, all of us riding past the smoldering ruins in dead silence.
