There certainly nothing “orthodox” about homosexuality! I think orthodoxy connotes strict adherence to God’s laws doesn’t it. How can one be a believer and contravene God’s word? Isn’t it a choice between God and sin? I mean what version of the Bible are they reading?

I’d previously read about this guy.
No one says that orthodox judaism accepts homosexuality as a behavior. What this Rabbi does, is accept at face value these people’s stated attraction, and then, with everyone on the same page, that G-d’s ways are incomprehensible, working with them to try to stay away from sinful behavior.
It’s not clear how marrying a girl who desires a female, and a man who desires males actually WORKS, but the idea is that all these people KNOW that they cannot indulge their desires, at least they marry someone who understands their urges.
