I love Gimp, and it sure does stuff even more effective than Photoshop. Anime and otaku’ fanboys use Gimp to make their banners rather than Photoshop.

Gimp is an outstanding program with one really big extra...its free...
In setting up someone computer for them after removing the bloatware and getting the patches in...Gimp is one of the app I always install .... also GOM (it plays just about any video)

When I was looking for a job I used Gimp a lot to edit pdf files. Especially job applications.
