DETROIT - Prior to tonight's game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox returned catcher A.J. Pierzynski from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list. In addition, the White Sox purchased the contracts of right-handed pitchers Shane Lindsay and Addison Reed and recalled infielder Eduardo Escobar from the Knights.

Addison Reed is one of my co-workers son.
Go Addison!
Going up against Justin Verlander.
I think they want him for the bullpen.
He played really well for SDSU. A few articles I’ve read says he’s got a good fastball (90s) a decent slider and a good change up. Should be a starter, but time will tell.
His younger brother got picked up by the Chicago Cubs single A affiliate.
Either way, I will be watching, probably the first game I’ve watched in many years.
Tiger’s / Sox games are usually some pretty decent games.
Chicago’s gonna have a fun off-season...Ozzie will be the Cubbie’s new manager...
I so want to wear my “Believe” shirt with the picture of the Chisox right after the series win . . . They are right now 5 1/2 out and they are playing central teams enough times to actually squeak in.
But they are still a .500 team . . . which isn’t too promising.
I saw where they might be considering Tony LaRussa to return to the Sox . . . interesting. I do think that Ozzie’s worn out his welcome, along with Kenny.
Verlander is coming off one extra day of rest. Jim Leyland wanted him good and fresh for Chicago.
Last couple of games have not been too good for the “M.V.P.” . . .
Just saw Escobar play at Durham. Good player (Bulls pitchers were murder on Knights batters).
LaRussa has a great situation with the Cards, and also he has Albert..WHY would he give that up?
With a name like Addison, he should be playing for the Cubs!
I wanted to reach through my set the other day and shake Ozzie . . . they had the bases loaded, down three runs . . . and he uses Dunn as a pinch-hitter! Those are the kind of decisions that ruined most of this season.
Dunn is a high paid failure on the team. They should have brought up Viciedo a month ago!
(another thing . . . twice now, at least, Dunn could have helped the team in those situations by letting the pitcher hit him, but he jumps back and avoids it.
Ken Harrelson is noticeably picqued with the team.
2.38 ERA and eight-game winning streak.
LOL, Addison plays for the White Sox.
The other son/brother plays for the Cubs.
I know, it’s tough when you don’t have a program. I don’t have one either.
I’m talking about against the Sox. He won his last two games. Sorry for the lack of clarity.
You guys want Ordonez back?
He’s OK but he isn’t the player he once was.
There’s talk that the Cubbies may get the Red Sox GM...to run the team..he’s done a great job is Boston..is revered..but the chance to end the curse in both Boston and Chicago may be too hatrd to pass up..if he pulled it off..he’d be a god..heck..he could get elected president..
