Lincoln - Republican.

In favor of voting rights for freed slaves - Republicans.

In SUPPORT of slavery (1860) - Southern DEMOCRATS.

Majority of KKK members (1800s/early 1900s) - DEMOCRATS.

Major opposition to Civil Rights Act (1863 AND 1963) - DEMOCRATS.
