My beloved 49ers will not finish 9-7, unfortunately. It looks like another 5 or 6 win season, but at least they finally have a head coach who can put together an offense and develop a QB. Maybe next year, if Kaepernick takes over mid-season and starts learning.

It's been a long, long time since Steve Young went down for good, Eddie D lost the team to his sister and her idiot husband and the dynasty days of the 49ers drew to a close.

The 2011 season--thanks to essentially no off-season workouts--will favor stable teams with strong coaching staffs. Say hello to Packers versus the Steelers or Patriots in the next Super Bowl.

I think you are right. Last season the Bears got lucky with a couple of wins. I think the NFC North will be like:

1. Green Bay
2. Detroit
3. Chicago
4. LA oops I mean Minnesota
