Nonsense? Duncan Hunter, solid conservative though he was, didn't get traction because ... he wasn't earning it. Politics isn't a Free Republic popularity contest. America is 300+ million strong.
At a certain point, principles have to give way to numerical reality. The reality is that Cain and Bachmann are not going to be President. They don't have the resumes for it. Palin might, if she jumps in. She was a governor.
That's not being a sellout. That's being cognizant of reality. Vote as hardcore right as you can at the local and state levels. For president, it's gotta be for the most rightward electable candidate. There's no such thing as a moral victory in the big leagues.
Cain and Buchannan simply aren't viable candidates. Palin would be. Perry is. Ain't no conspiracy. That's life.
Michelle Bachmann founded the House Tea Party caucus; she did not wait meekly for the castrati in the Pubble hierarchy to give her the go-ahead. Cain went directly to the people through the free media. Palin fought the corrupt establishment in her state. Those are my kind of people. Not some hack politician who panders to our nation's enemies, while parroting conservative rhetoric.
