The “Tokyo Rove” meme is really childish. Does Sarah no credit at all.

I'm not casting any accusations. I'm not trying to start any rumors.

I just want to point out that Dick Morris and Karl Rove have never been seen together in public.

Rove and the Bushes don’t like Perry...and Perry doesn’t care...a feud that’s gone on for years.

I was thinking Rove believed Sarah Palin joining the race would draw from Rick Perry to divide the conservative vote, paving the way for Romney (Rove’s pick), but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

According to this poll, Sarah Palin would draw some from Rick Perry, but it would be a smaller percentage overall since he is already so far ahead, plus supporters are now polling that most will stick with Perry, and Sarah Palin would pull a little from Rick Santorum and slightly from Newt Gingrich, but mostly from Michele Bachmann with Michele Bachmann taking the biggest hit from a Sarah Palin candidacy. Looking at these poll results, a Sarah Palin candidacy would basically take Michele Bachmann OUT.

However, Sarah Palin, who is somewhat liked by some independents, does draw some from Mitt Romney as well, as the poll here shows.

You will see in the poll results below that even if Karl Rove thinks Sarah Palin would take out Rick Perry to make way for Mitt Romney, it doesn’t look like it would work that way.

From:
http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_US_0824513.pdf

Excerpt:

Q11 What if neither Sarah Palin nor Paul Ryan ran
for President, and the candidates were just
Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt
Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Rick Perry,
Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum. Who would
you vote for?
Michele Bachmann ......................................... 16%
Herman Cain................................................... 6%
Newt Gingrich ................................................. 8%
Jon Huntsman................................................. 3%
Ron Paul ......................................................... 6%
Rick Perry ....................................................... 33%
Mitt Romney.................................................... 20%
Rick Santorum................................................ 4%
Someone else/Not sure .................................. 5%

Q9 If the candidates for President next year were
Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt
Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Sarah Palin, Ron
Paul, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Rick
Santorum, who would you vote for?
Michele Bachmann ......................................... 10%
Herman Cain................................................... 7%
Newt Gingrich ................................................. 7%
Jon Huntsman................................................. 2%
Sarah Palin ..................................................... 13%
Ron Paul ......................................................... 6%
Rick Perry ....................................................... 27%
Mitt Romney.................................................... 17%
Rick Santorum................................................ 3%
Someone else/Not sure .................................. 7%

And here is another polling source which indicates that Sarah Palin entering the race does not break the votes enough to help Mitt Romney but instead hurts him:

From:

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2011/08/24/perry-becomes-instant-2012-front-runner-in-gallup-poll/?mod=WSJBlog&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Excerpt:

The poll delivered still more bad news for Mr. Romney, showing that an entry by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin into the race, as looks increasingly likely, would further weaken his position. With Ms. Palin in the race, a quarter of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents said they would still support Mr. Perry, while Mr. Romney’s support would dip to 14%. Ms. Palin would come in tied with Mr. Paul at 11%.

Don’t believe everything you hear - it’s politics, it’s not about ‘he doesn’t like me or I him’ - they bypass that crapola for the bigger picture.

For piggy Rove to call Palin "thin skinned" is like Elijah Cummings calling The Tea Party "racist." The owner of the perjorative descriptor accusing an innocent of possessing his own defect. Upside down, backwards, and while certainly the status quo, nontheless no longer acceptable.

"Sarah Palin wouldn't pull 10 votes from Mitt."

True enough, but only because, once Palin announces, Mitt ain't getting 10 votes.

Deal with it, Siz.

"Even as the sun sets on Karl Rove and his ilk, it rises on Gov. Palin and the promise of the new day that she ushers in with her to an American public absolutely starved for it.

As former President Ronald Reagan also used to say, ”It’s morning in America.”

I thought of both of you as I read (and wrote) this.

Tokyo Rose, in the 2nd World War, repeatedly broadcast to the American GI's lies and distorted promises calculated to weaken their resolve and convince them to lay down their arms and surrender to the Japanese "superior force."

This is precisely what Rove is doing to conservatives with his propaganda against Palin. The simile is not only exquisitely appropos to the current situation, but Rove is actually performing precisely the same discouraging disinformative propaganda role that his oriental namesake did six decades ago.

"Tokyo Rove" is perfectly accurate. Deal with it.

Those polls mimic the polls that said Palin would lose to Frank Murkowski. When someone plays the game so far outside the box as does Governor Palin, neither the standard rules, nor polls, apply.

Palin historically draws votes two-to-three times greater than her pre-election poll numbers. Perhaps because of all the negative press propaganda which has been hallmarks of the negative campaigning run against her, there are seemingly always far mor people who are going to vote for her on election day than are willing to admit it in advance.

One thing is certain: She rarely polls well, and she mostly always wins. Go figure.

Short version, those numbers you posted ain't worth crap.

Karl Rove, a typical Washington insider, is so afraid of becoming irrelevant, the man cannot hide his vicious hatred for a decent woman.

All of this proves one thing.

Washington DC badly needs a house-cleaning from top to bottom, in BOTH major parties, to rid this nation of the most disgusting subhumans who populate its corrupt capitol's hallways.

To people like Rove, "bi-partisan" is about BOTH parties fighting decent American people like Sarah Palin who are trying to rid this country of the vermin, like Rove, who have brought disease to our doorsteps.

We must rid America of the know-it-all's like Rove who have been so smart as to destroy the finest republic ever conceived by man.

Rove ought to be ashamed of himself for being the "architect" of America's descent into insolvency through federal overspending, exploding far beyond that of Clinton, under G. W. Bush, and the Bush's lawless dereliction of duty on illegal immigration.

Rove is the "architect" of the misery we now face in America.

Rove is not a reformer and he desperately fears Sarah Palin, who IS a reformer and will make sure Rove is irrelevant to the future of the United States.

“Both Rove and Dana Perino appear to be Bushbots, eager to undercut the prospects of any Republican presidential prospect who might be able to defeat Obama and thus prevent Jeb from becoming Prexy in 2016.”

Agreed, and neither one is successful at hiding the sudden change of facial expressions whenever the Barracuda’s name is mentioned.....It’s childish, but I would love to see a Palin presidency rubbed in all their faces....

I was thinking the same thing. Author could have been considerably nastier with the little porker and still not have gone over the top. Rove is yesterday's news. Lining the bottom of the vulture cage, or the bottom of the python aquarium (YUK!!!) is about the extent of his meaningful usefulness any longer.

Do we all agree that it is high time the owners and producers of fox (msm) received lots and lots and lots of demands for the removal of tokyo rove from his "vaunted" position as an election "expert"?.... or....just let fox know that whenever he appears on screen, the channel will be changed?

I myself have not watched or listened to fox in over a month...I don't miss it at all. It is time many many more of us did the same thing.
