The sympathy vote would come from people who would vote for him anyway. Well, maybe a few will stir from their hangovers long enough to drag their sorry butts down to the polls to vote .....
I don’t think he’ll get even that. Part of his core doesn’t like to vote. They’re the, ‘we’re entitled; somebody else will do it’ crowd, SOME of whom came out for him in ‘10. They’re not enthused enough to do it again. He’s disappointing just about everybody. His only chance is a third party candidate, and let’s just hope the person who’s thinking of filling that role is prepared to go down in history as the one who gave the worst president of modern times another four years.
