FOX NEWS: USGS REPORTS 5.8 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE FELT IN WASHINGTON
A guy on our conference call out of Herndon just dropped suddenly, yelling about how he had to go “NOW!”
Then he sent an email saying they had an earthquake in Herndon.
Charlotte NC I just felt a quake, felt like my couch was vibrating up and down. Chandelier swayed a little bit too. My first one...

Yep... in Montgomery County, Maryland. Friends in Baltimore City felt it, too. Their ceiling tiles fell. As usual... we looked toward D.C. and didn’t see the “cloud” so I guess we are all good.

Bizarre - neighbor felt the same as I - the top of the house shaking, but not the bottom! Even my dog was wondering a bit what was going on! And it must’ve caused some trouble because when I went to the front foyer, something around the top of the foyer (vaulted) was making shaky squeeking noises for a good while.
Hmmm - sounds like it was a pretty decent one.

Definitely felt it here in Rockville. Started off pretty subtle, but we were diving under desks when we could actually hear cracking noises and watching dust fall from the ceiling.
