Buying a Heavy duty generator for my home right now as I am a dialysis patient, who does treatment at home. Yes gas and water are impossible to find after these thing pass. I tell my friends to head to the dollar stores as you can find great deals on some foods and bottle water.

Hey, True, did we meet up at GOE I ? Or perhaps I saw you interviewed on TV for GOE or Tea Party stuff.

Buying a Heavy duty generator for my home right now... Good deal.
I look at a generator as something I hope I will never need again, but I've had to use it 3 times since purchase 7 years ago.
Most of my neighbors have one now.
Take care of yourself.

Well we need to pray for your well being. How often do you need to do this?

Propane is much easier to procure then gasoline is during an extended outage. Propane also stores much much longer...on the order of years versus weeks.

We have friends in Charleston. He said he went to Wal-Mart and they were already completely out of bottled water. People are preparing, which is good, but don’t wait too long.

That’s an excellent idea, since emergency rooms are likely to be overcome during and after the storm.
