What a great post at his Blog, Kevin has really gained stature beyond words.
I love his writings....and I love the way they have come to see what the left is really like.
Those on the far left are the most hateful and intolerant people in the country and all the while they will call for tolerance and acceptance of their perversions and bigotry.
This brought tears to my eyes. God is slowly, but surely removing the blinders. Kevin is seeing the very community he has identified with for many, many years as what it is. I am praying for him because I believe God is working in him and the spiritual warfare must be getting intense, and it will only get worse.
Lord, please give Kevin courage and strength in this battle, lay Your hand of protection over him and let him seek Your face. Reveal Yourself to Kevin and draw him to You. And thank you, Father, also for letting me see Trig through Kevin’s eyes. I am humbled and blessed by this article.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
I admire and appreciate the writer’s decent and optimistic viewpoint concerning this subject. All we have ever heard from the Liberals is, “Don’t pick on the kids” of candidates, but when it comes to Conservatives, all bets are off, it seems. To attack an innocent child, much less a disabled one, is pure wickedness. No decent person should be silent when such evil is voiced in their presence. For some, silence means tacit agreement and we should never stay silent about this.
I had friends with MD, CP, Polio, Spinal Bifia, quads and pari's due to acidents, Autism, deaf, legally blind, severe ADD ADHD, auditory or visual issues which affected learning. We interacted with the Downs students in school activities. Nobody picked on anybody due to their affliction. Those two years were my best years of school.
...stereotypically catty and low-information attacks on conservative and Christian women (like Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Governor Sarah Palin) that much of America expects from the gay community...
Anyone who has ever interacted with a Down’s person ends up loving them. They are open, happy, pleasant, trusting, honest and straightforward. They make everyone smile.
Progressives, not so much.
My husband has a DD client who brightens his week. This is a 30-something adult with the capacity of an eight-year-old. He lives and works in a sheltered environment and sees my husband for massage on his psychiatrist’s prescription in order to reduce his dependency on medication. Unfortunately, all this client’s attendants are rampant progressives who teach the client hateful liberal propaganda. It is beyond sickening. I wish more conservative people would take these jobs.
