Cats are Republican, Dogs are Democrats

I know it may be upsetting for many of you to discover the animal you cherish is of the opposite political party. Would former President Bill Clinton ever be able to admit to himself that the late Socks was a Republican? Could Democrats ever bring themselves to forgive Checkers, the dog – and a Democrat – who belonged to Richard M. Nixon and whose mention in the famous 1952 “Checkers speech” helped save Nixon’s political career?

When cats are born, they believe they are in a state of liberty, and from then on they are determined to keep it that way. No one tells them what to do. They don’t believe it takes a village, because they know they might have to take instructions from the village idiot in the local government.

I was going to say that dogs are conservatives and cats are libertarians. I was going to add that neither can be considered democrats since they don’t abort their young.

1) growl whenever they hear Obama’s voice
2) bark at mailmen(most mail carriers are democrat)
3) not fond of Holder’s People
4) Wag their tail and get excited when it’s hunting season
5) Poop in their own yard and not every one else yard
6) carry their own water and food when back packing in mountains
7) happily eat their own food and NOT demand that I supply them with MY steak
8) like riding in a pickup truck rather than a pirus
9) a great rat/rattlesnake hunters
10) are not intimidated by Black Panthers or Jackasses

That is the nature of posting. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in an online, distance learning format and if they weren’t being graded for it I would receive very few substantive replies.

By the way, I for one love dogs as well, there just isn’t anyone at home during the day anymore to properly train and monitor a dog and its behavior/needs; thus, cats are now the only pets in the house.

Cats expect to be left alone until it's time to be let in & fed, yet offer nothing in return.

Tell that to the little blob of orange fur that is sitting in my lap right now and spends a lot of time there while I am on the computer. He has 24/7 food and 24/7 access to the outside. Tell that to the other cat that brings mice, rats, birds and whatever for me to eat. Cats give a lot in return, they are just limited in what they are able to give compared to dogs. One big advantage they do have over dogs is you can leave them on their own for 3 or 4 days or even more and they will be just fine, can't do that with a dog.

A guy was suggested (and seemed to really believe) that the different breeds of dogs came from wolves INTERBREEDING with DIFFERENT species! He was dead serious, apparently. I mean, he thought smaller breeds came from wolves breeding with things like badgers or things like that. I started say something and then I thought...no, just go on about my business...
