Bourdain can certainly be abrasive, but as to his cooking talent, he's definitely got the "chops", so to speak (Culinary Institute of America, former head chef for several upscale NY restaurants).

My wife and I have a standing joke about the Food Network:

Q: What's the difference between an Ina Garten recipe and a Paula Deen recipe?
A: For Ina's recipes, you start with one pound of butter. For Paula's, you start with one pound of lard...

I would wash Ina’s dishes for a month for one day of her cooking. I might mow the lawn also. Jeffrey is a lucky man.
