My cousin’s hernia was mid abdomen, the patch was about 2.5 inches square. She had little to no pain after, because she is close to 70, and lives alone she had to stay in the hospital a couple of days, then a church friend checked on her everyday for a week or so. She feels fine two years later, no problems.
