If something weird is happening, chances are pretty good it's happening at a Walmart

'Walmart shoppers aren't like us. They're poor, unsophisticated rubes with lowbrow tastes and proletarian problems.

Strange things happen at Walmart not because of it's prodigious size and ubiquitousness; but because of the very nature of it's troglodytic customer base in which low prices attract.

Decent people of discernment (most FR commentators) would gladly pay $87.75 for a locally grown, fair trade, organic sweisburg cabbage at Whole Foods, rather than that uncouth Walmart muck at $0.50 a head; but Walmart shoppers would prefer that discount fare. The barbarians claim it fits their "budget" !!?!!

Why can't those inurbane, loud, loutish, lowbred, oafish, lumpenproles go and get a trust fund like normal people. Then the Walmart blight would disappear.'
