Three capfulls to a gallon of water is awfully strong for drinking purposes. I think I saw that same episode of Dual Survivor and I’m pretty sure they used 8 drops to the gallon just as this article recommends.

Dual Survivor is a great show. Dave Canteberry has a youtube channel with hundreds of survival videos that’s definitely worth checking out. Between him and Cody, they could survive indefinitely in any situation. They are both a wealth of knowledge. But if I had to chose which one to partner up with it would be Dave hands down. I’d rather eat meat than maggots and foliage. Cody’s steam purification system he builds on the stranded at sea/tropical island episode is really cool and he is certainly a master of fire.
